Your first batch of posts
Turn an issue into drafts, then review, edit, and duplicate them.
Open the compose room
Click New post (the + in the sidebar) from anywhere. The compose room opens over the page you were on, so closing it puts you right back.
The room has two halves. On the left is “Attach an issue”, with your issue search already open. On the right is “Write a post”, for writing without AI. Attaching an issue is optional, but it’s what lets Karrow draft for you.
You can also start from a single issue: open Publications, pick a publication, open an issue from its Issues tab, and click Compose posts. The room opens with that issue already attached.
What does Karrow use to write the drafts?
Karrow writes from the issue you attached, in the voice of that publication’s own recent issues. It reads your five most recent other issues to learn how you write, plus the last three posts that went out from that publication on each channel, so drafts get closer to how you post there as you publish more.
It also follows any rules you set for that channel in the publication’s Voice tab, and picks a post format for each option from the Playbooks library. Your voice never comes from other people’s posts; only the shape does.
The facts come from your issue. Karrow is told to stick to what the issue says and not invent numbers, but check any figure before you schedule. For a long issue, the drafts work from roughly the first 7,000 characters of its text, so a point made near the end may not appear.
If your issue has images, the first one is attached to the first post of each draft automatically, on every channel except Reddit. You can remove it or swap it in the editor.
Review the board
Your drafts appear as cards, with one tab per channel and the number of options on each tab. Each card shows its format, such as Hook & payoff or Story arc, and a preview; long posts have Show more. Each card has its own Schedule, Edit, and delete buttons.
Not quite right? Change the number of options and click Regenerate. It replaces that channel’s unscheduled AI drafts, including ones you’ve edited, but posts you wrote by hand or already scheduled are kept. Schedule anything you want to keep first.
Click Add channel to bring in another platform. Choose the channel, set How many, then pick Generate with AI or Write by hand.
How many drafts can I make a day?
A free workspace can draft 20 options a day and a Pro workspace 200, counted per option, not per click. Drafting X and LinkedIn at 3 options each uses 6. All five channels at 3 each uses 15. A Regenerate at 3 uses 3 more, and each Duplicate to uses 1.
Writing by hand never counts. The count resets at midnight UTC. If a request would go over, Karrow tells you how many you’ve already used and drafts nothing, so you can lower the numbers and try again. A run that fails still counts, and the room shows the error with a prompt to try again.
Edit a draft
Click Edit on a card to open it in the editor. Changes save as you type (“Saving…”, then “Saved.”). Click All drafts to go back to the board.
Use First comment for a link or note Karrow posts right after your post. Many platforms show posts with links in the body to fewer people.
If a draft shows “Possible AI tell”, the editor lists what Karrow found, such as a long dash or an overused word. It’s worth a quick edit before you schedule.
Duplicate to another channel
In the editor, click Duplicate to and pick a platform. Karrow rewrites the post for that platform’s style and adds it as a new tab above the editor, so you can keep duplicating to more channels without leaving the post.
The rewrite keeps the same idea and facts, and carries your images over where the new platform takes them (Reddit takes none). A duplicate counts as a hand-made draft, so Regenerate never replaces it. Duplicating an empty post gives you an empty draft and doesn’t use your daily count.
Prefer to write it yourself?
You never have to use AI. With no issue attached, the room shows “Write a post”: pick your channels and click Start writing. Each channel gets its own tab, so you can tailor the wording to each platform.
