Scheduling and the calendar

Plan a week of posts, drag them onto days, and move them around.

How do I schedule a post?

Click Schedule on the draft, pick a day and a time, then click Schedule again to confirm. You can do this from three places, and they all work the same way: the draft’s card in the Unscheduled tray on Posts, the editor in the compose room, or the post drawer that opens when you click a post.

  1. 1Click Schedule on the draft.
  2. 2Pick a day on the calendar. Days before today can’t be picked.
  3. 3Pick a time from the Time list. Times go in 15-minute steps, from 12:00 AM to 11:45 PM, and are shown in your own timezone.
  4. 4Click Schedule. Scheduling is the approval: nothing goes out until you do this.

To publish right away, choose Post now under the calendar and confirm when it asks “Publish now?”. The post shows as Scheduled until the platform confirms it, then switches to Posted.

Why can’t I schedule a post?

Almost always because one of five checks stopped it: your plan, a missing channel, the platform’s own rules, a missing attachment, or the time. Karrow tells you which one, right under the Schedule button.

Your plan. Publishing and scheduling are part of Karrow Pro. On the Free plan you can connect, draft, and edit as much as you like, but Schedule and Post now open the Publish with Karrow Pro window. Pro is $59 a month per publication, or yearly with 2 months free. If you clicked Post now before you subscribed, Karrow sends that post once checkout finishes.

A missing channel. If the publication has no connected account on that platform, you’ll see “Connect X to schedule this post.” (with the platform’s name) and a link to connect it.

The platform’s rules. Before anything is scheduled, Karrow checks the post against the platform’s own rules, for example length and media. If it doesn’t pass, you see “Won’t post yet:” and the reason. Fix it in the editor, then schedule again.

A missing attachment. If an image or video on the post was deleted, Karrow won’t publish the post without it. Add the file again, then schedule.

The time. If the day and time you picked have already passed, the Schedule button stays off and Karrow asks you to pick a later time.

Use the calendar

Open Posts from the sidebar to see everything in one place. Switch between List, Month, and Week, filter by publication or channel, and use the status strip (All, Drafts, Scheduled, Posted, Failed) to narrow it down. Each status shows how many posts are in it.

List groups your posts into Drafts, Scheduled, Posted, and Failed, newest first. Month shows up to three posts on each day; when a day has more, click “+N more” to open that week in Week view. Week splits each day into hourly rows, and every post shows its time.

Use the arrows to move back or forward, and Today to come back to the current month or week. On desktop, hover over a post in Month or Week to read its text without opening it. The publication filter only appears once you have more than one publication.

Drag drafts onto a day

On desktop, the Unscheduled tray beside the calendar holds your drafts. Drag one onto a day to schedule it. In Month view it lands at 9 AM; in Week view it takes the hour you drop it on.

A drop runs the same checks as the Schedule button. If one fails, the draft stays in the tray and the reason shows on its card. Days and hours that have already passed don’t accept drops.

Scheduled posts can be dragged to a new day too, and keep their time of day in Month view. Posts that already went out or failed stay where they are.

Need more room? Collapse the tray to a narrow strip with the button at its top right. The strip shows how many unscheduled drafts are waiting; click it to open the tray again.

Schedule from your phone

On a phone, Posts shows List and Calendar. Calendar is a month grid with a list of posts under it; tap a day to see only that day, and Show the month to go back.

Dragging is desktop-only. Instead, drafts with no date sit under Unscheduled at the top of the list, each with its own Schedule button that opens the same day and time picker.

What timezone are scheduled times in?

Your device’s timezone: Karrow has no workspace timezone, so every time you pick or see is in the timezone your computer or phone is set to. The picker names it under the Time list (“In your timezone”), and the post drawer shows the zone next to the time.

The post goes out at the same moment everywhere. A post you schedule for 9:00 AM in New York shows as 6:00 AM to a teammate in Los Angeles, and it is the same post at the same moment. If you travel, the times on screen follow your device to the new timezone, but the post still goes out when you planned it.

Change a scheduled post

Click any post to open its drawer. To move it, pick a new time in its Schedule picker.

A scheduled post’s text is locked so what goes out is exactly what you approved. To edit it, choose Cancel scheduled post: it goes back to being a draft you can change and schedule again.

If a post fails, the drawer shows the reason the platform gave, when it gives one. Click Edit & reschedule to fix it and try again.

Reddit posts need a subreddit

A Reddit post can’t be scheduled until you choose the subreddit it’s for. Open the draft in the editor and pick one under Subreddit. If you drag a Reddit draft with no subreddit onto the calendar, Karrow opens the post instead so you can see where it would go.

Some communities also require a flair. Karrow can’t always tell in advance, so if the Flair list appears, set one: a missing flair is a common reason Reddit rejects a post when it goes out.
