One issue, five channels
Why each channel gets its own wording, and how to do it without copy-pasting.
Should I post the same text on every channel?
No. The same point lands differently on each platform, and identical text everywhere tends to feel out of place. On Reddit it can even be flagged as spam.
A thoughtful LinkedIn post, a punchy X thread, and a conversational Threads post can all come from one paragraph of your issue. The facts stay the same; the length, the opening and the tone change.
The limits differ too: 280 characters per post on X, 500 on Threads, 3,000 on LinkedIn, and far more on Facebook. A post written for LinkedIn simply won’t fit on X without rewriting.
How do I draft one issue for several channels at once?
- 1Click New post and pick your issue from the rail on the left.
- 2Select every channel you want with the channel chips.
- 3Under AI options per channel, choose how many options you want for each channel. It starts at 3; you can go from 1 to 10 with the minus and plus buttons.
- 4Click Draft options (the button shows the total, for example Draft 9 options). Karrow writes separate options for each channel, shaped for that platform and labelled with the format each one follows.
- 5The options appear in one tab per channel. Open an option to edit it, schedule the ones you want, and delete the rest. Each option is its own draft, so you can keep more than one per channel.
Prefer to write it yourself? Choose Write by hand instead. You get one blank draft per selected channel, attached to the same issue.
What does Regenerate do?
Regenerate replaces one channel’s AI options with a fresh set, without touching the other channels. Choose how many you want first; it uses the same 1 to 10 range.
It only replaces AI options that haven’t been scheduled, and that includes ones you’ve edited. Hand-written posts, duplicates and anything already scheduled stay put, so schedule or duplicate the drafts you want to keep before you regenerate.
Need a channel you didn’t pick at the start? Use Add channel on the issue board, choose the channel and How many, then Generate with AI or Write by hand.
Already have a post you like?
Open it and use Duplicate to. Karrow keeps the same idea and facts and rewrites it in the shape the other platform expects, then adds it as a new tab above the editor. It doesn’t invent new claims.
Writing by hand? Use Add channel instead: the new channel starts from the text you’ve already written, so you only adjust it.
A duplicate is a separate draft. If you edit the original afterwards, the copy doesn’t change, so make your big edits first and duplicate last.
What carries over when you duplicate?
The idea, the facts and your First comment are rewritten for the new channel. Images and video carry over too, as long as the new platform accepts them: they go on the first post, up to that platform’s limit.
For example, duplicating a LinkedIn post with 6 images to X keeps the first 4, because X takes 4 per post. Duplicating anything to Reddit drops the media, because Karrow’s Reddit posts are text only.
Set the rules once for each channel
If you find yourself making the same edit on every draft for one channel, write it down as a rule. Open your publication, go to the Voice tab, and add a line under that channel, for example “no rhetorical questions, never open with a stat”. Click Save and it applies to every future draft for that channel.
Karrow also learns quietly from which drafts you keep, edit, or discard. If that ever drifts somewhere you don’t want, the same tab has Reset learned tone.
Read each draft before you schedule
AI drafts are a first pass, not a finished post. If a draft contains one of the common giveaways of AI writing, such as an em dash or words like “delve” and “leverage”, Karrow shows a “Possible AI tell” note above the editor so you can fix it.
Check the numbers against your issue as well. A draft should only repeat what the issue says, and you know your own figures best.
On a wide screen, the preview beside the editor shows each draft as it will look on its platform, which makes an X post that runs over or a LinkedIn hook buried below the fold easy to spot.
How far apart should I post across channels?
Spread the channels over a few days rather than posting everywhere in the same hour. Each post gets room to breathe, and people who follow you in more than one place don’t see the same idea five times in an hour.
Each channel’s draft is scheduled on its own. Use Schedule in the draft to pick a date and time, or open Posts and drag drafts from Unscheduled drafts onto a day in the calendar.
For Reddit, Karrow warns you if the same text is going to two subreddits within 24 hours, or if another post is going to the same subreddit within 48 hours.
