Changing or cancelling a scheduled post

Move it, edit it, or take it back before it goes out.

Can I change a post after I schedule it?

Yes, right up until it goes out: you can move it to another time, post it now, or cancel it to change the text. Click the post on Posts to open its drawer; that’s where all three live.

Once a post has gone out, it can’t be changed from Karrow. The drawer shows its numbers, where the platform shares them, and a View on link (with the platform’s name) that opens it there.

How do I move a scheduled post to another time?

Open the post and pick a new time in its Schedule picker, or drag it to another day on the calendar. In Month view a dragged post keeps its time of day; in Week view it takes the hour you drop it on.

The picker in the drawer starts empty each time you open it. Pick the new day and time, then click Schedule; the post keeps everything else, including its text and account.

The new time has to be in the future. Days and hours that have passed don’t accept drops, and the picker won’t let you confirm a time that’s already gone.

Moving a Reddit post runs the same checks as scheduling it. If the new time breaks one of Reddit’s timing rules, for example landing within two days of another post to the same subreddit, Karrow asks before it moves it. Choose Post anyway, Cancel, or Post another day to pick a different time.

Dragging only works on desktop. On a phone, open the post and use its Schedule picker instead.

How do I edit the text of a scheduled post?

Cancel it first: a scheduled post’s text is locked, so what goes out is exactly what you approved. If you open a scheduled post in the editor, you’ll see that it can’t be edited now.

  1. 1Open the post and choose Cancel scheduled post.
  2. 2Confirm with Cancel post, or choose Keep scheduled to leave it as it is. A cancelled post goes back to being a draft, with no date, and returns to the Unscheduled tray.
  3. 3Choose Open in compose, edit it, then schedule it again.

The same goes for the account a post publishes from: cancel it, pick the account under Select account, then schedule it again.

An example: fixing a typo the night before

Say you scheduled Thursday’s LinkedIn post and spot a typo on Wednesday night. Open the post, choose Cancel scheduled post, then Cancel post. Choose Open in compose, fix the typo, and schedule it again for the same Thursday slot.

Cancelling clears the date, so you pick the day and time again yourself. Nothing else about the post changes.

Post it now instead

Open the post and choose Post now, then confirm. It goes out within about a minute.

It stays marked Scheduled until the platform confirms it, then switches to Posted.

For a draft that was never scheduled, Post now in the same picker sends it straight away, after the same checks as scheduling.

Can I delete a scheduled post?

Not directly: cancel it first, then delete the draft. Only drafts can be deleted, so this keeps you from removing a post that’s already on its way.

To delete a draft from the post drawer, choose Delete, then Delete post to confirm, or Keep to change your mind. A failed post works the same way: Edit & reschedule turns it back into a draft, which you can then delete.

A post that has already gone out can’t be deleted from Karrow. Use its View on link to open it on the platform and delete it there.

Why can’t I move or cancel a post?

Because it has already gone out or failed: only scheduled posts and drafts can be moved, and only scheduled posts can be cancelled. A posted post is read-only, and a failed post is fixed with Edit & reschedule.

Cancelling has to reach Karrow’s publishing partner, which holds the post until its time. If that doesn’t work, the drawer shows an error and the post stays scheduled, so you never see a draft for a post that is still going out. Try again in a moment.

What if my plan has lapsed?

Cancel scheduled post works on any plan, so you can always stop a post. Moving it to a new time or posting it now counts as publishing, so those need Karrow Pro, the same as scheduling it did. If your plan has lapsed, Karrow shows the upgrade window instead.

Good to know

Times are always shown in your own timezone, in 15-minute steps, and must be in the future. Posts that have already gone out, or failed, can’t be moved. A failed post has its own fix: Edit & reschedule.

Edit & reschedule clears the failed post’s old date along with the error, so it returns to the Unscheduled tray and opens in the compose room for you to fix.

Changing a publication’s default account in Settings → Channels doesn’t affect posts that are already scheduled. They go out from the account they were scheduled with.
