My numbers look wrong or are missing

Refresh timing, platform limits, and what “Syncing” means.

Why doesn’t my new post have numbers yet?

Numbers arrive a little while after a post goes live, not the moment it’s published. Until then, the post’s drawer says “Metrics are syncing.” and its channel shows a Syncing badge on Analytics.

If the drawer says “No metrics yet for this post.”, the platform hasn’t reported anything for it yet. Look again after the next refresh.

If no post has numbers yet, Analytics shows a note instead: “Your numbers are still syncing. Per-channel and per-post analytics appear here shortly after a post goes live.”

If nothing has gone out yet, the page tells you that too: “Your first post hasn’t gone out yet” when posts are scheduled, or “Schedule a draft to start measuring” when you only have drafts.

How often do the numbers update?

Karrow refreshes your numbers once a day, and again when you open Analytics if they’re more than 12 hours old.

The top of the page shows when they last updated, for example “Updated about 3 hours ago”, and each post’s drawer shows its own Updated time. The Analytics page has no refresh button, and the Refresh analytics button on the Dashboard only fetches numbers more than 12 hours old, so they can be several hours behind what the platform’s own app shows.

Posts keep updating for about 45 days after they go out. After that their numbers stay as they are, even if the post keeps getting views on the platform.

Each refresh reads up to 100 posts per publication from that 45-day window. If a publication sends more than 100 posts in 45 days across its channels, some of them may not get numbers.

Why don’t my numbers match the platform’s app?

Karrow shows the numbers from its last refresh, so they can trail the platform’s app by several hours, and a post older than about 45 days keeps the figures it had when updates stopped.

Karrow also shows each platform’s numbers as they’re reported and doesn’t recalculate them. Engagement rate for a single post is the platform’s own figure, so it can differ from a rate you work out by hand if the platform counts engagements differently.

X, Facebook, and Threads report impressions, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, clicks, and engagement rate. LinkedIn reports all of those except saves and clicks, and Reddit reports none.

Why don’t my Reddit posts have numbers?

Reddit doesn’t share analytics with apps like Karrow, so Reddit posts have no numbers.

On Analytics, a Reddit channel’s row says “Reddit has no analytics API.” in place of its numbers, and a Reddit post’s drawer says the same. That’s expected; nothing is broken.

Your Reddit posts still appear on Posts and the calendar, and the View on Reddit link in a posted post’s drawer opens the live post.

Why is LinkedIn missing saves and clicks?

LinkedIn reports saves only for personal profiles and clicks only for company pages, and Karrow can’t tell which kind an account is, so it leaves both out rather than show a 0 that might be wrong.

For personal profiles, LinkedIn only covers posts published through Karrow. The info icon next to a LinkedIn handle on Analytics says: “Personal accounts: analytics cover posts published through Karrow only.”

Wherever a number isn’t reported, Analytics shows a dash. A dash means “not reported”, not zero.

Why is a post I made outside Karrow missing?

Analytics only counts posts published through Karrow, so posts you write directly on X, LinkedIn, or any other platform don’t appear.

Followers is different: it’s the account’s total follower count from the platform, so it includes followers you gained from posts made anywhere.

Why is a channel missing from Analytics?

A channel is missing when the filters at the top leave it out, or when the account needs reconnecting.

Check the publication, channel, and period filters. The publication filter only appears when you have more than one publication. “No channels match this scope” means the filters exclude every connected channel; click Clear filters to reset the publication and channel filters.

An account marked Reconnect needed drops out of the table until you reconnect it in Settings → Channels. Its earlier numbers come back with it.

If no channel is connected at all, the page says “Connect a channel to see analytics” instead of showing a table. Nothing is measured until a channel is connected.

Why did my totals change when I switched the period?

The period control (7d, 30d, or 90d) counts posts by the day they went out, so switching it changes which posts are added up.

Posts, Impressions, and Clicks are totals over those posts. Eng. rate is weighted by impressions, so a post seen 10,000 times counts for more than one seen 500 times.

A hypothetical example: one post had 10,000 impressions at a 2% engagement rate, and another had 500 impressions at 10%. The channel’s Eng. rate reads 2.4%, not the 6.0% you’d get by averaging the two rates, because almost all the views came from the first post.

The arrows compare the period with the one just before it. If that earlier period had no posts or no numbers, no arrow appears.
