Why didn’t my post publish?

Find a failed post, read the reason, and send it again.

How you’ll know

When a platform turns a post down, it’s marked Failed. The bell shows “post failed to publish” under Needs attention, with Review failures to take you there. We also email you.

See why

  1. 1Open Posts and filter by Failed, or click Review failures in the bell.
  2. 2Click the post. The drawer shows the reason the platform gave, when it gives one.

Common causes

The channel’s login has expired or was revoked. The account shows Reconnect needed in Settings → Channels.

Something in the post isn’t allowed on that platform: too long, a file too large, or a media type it doesn’t accept.

For Reddit, the subreddit’s own rules: it may require flair, or limit who can post.

Fix it and send again

  1. 1In the failed post’s drawer, click Edit & reschedule. The post goes back to being a draft and opens in the editor.
  2. 2Fix what the reason pointed to, or reconnect the channel first if it needs it.
  3. 3Schedule it again, or press Post now.

Karrow doesn’t retry failed posts by itself, so nothing goes out twice by surprise.

Caught before it was scheduled

Some problems are caught before a post is scheduled at all. You’ll see “Won’t post yet” with the reason, for example a time in the past, a missing attachment, or a Reddit post with no subreddit. Fix it and schedule again.
