Deleting data or your account

Disconnect a channel or newsletter, delete a workspace, or close your account.

Does deleting data in Karrow touch my newsletter or social accounts?

No. Everything on this page removes Karrow’s copy of your data and its access, never the originals. Karrow only reads your issues with the API key you gave it, so your newsletter, its archive, and its subscribers stay exactly as they are.

The same goes for your social accounts. Posts that are already live on X, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, or Reddit stay there. If you want one gone, delete it on the platform itself.

Disconnect a social account

Channels belong to a publication, so Settings → Channels lists them under each publication. Disconnecting an account stops it posting for that publication only; Karrow deletes its own connection to the account, not the account itself.

  1. 1Open Settings → Channels and find the publication.
  2. 2Click Disconnect next to the account’s @handle.
  3. 3Click Disconnect again in the confirmation.

It stops posting right away, and you can connect it again any time.

What happens when I disconnect my newsletter?

Karrow deletes that key’s publications, all of their imported issues, and the channels connected to them, along with the saved API key. Your newsletter itself is untouched.

A key covers every publication connected through it. If one beehiiv key brought in three publications, disconnecting it removes all three. To keep one, connect it again afterwards.

On Pro, each publication removed comes off your plan, and the difference is credited on your next invoice. The plan never drops below one publication.

  1. 1Open Settings → API keys.
  2. 2Click Disconnect on the key.
  3. 3Confirm. The prompt reminds you that this removes its publications and all their ingested issues.

Disconnecting deletes the key from Karrow, but the key still works until you delete it. To shut it off completely, also delete it in your beehiiv or Ghost settings.

Reset what Karrow learned from your edits

Besides your voice rules, Karrow learns your tone from which drafts you keep, edit, or discard. You can clear that for one publication without touching anything else.

  1. 1Open Publications, pick the publication, and go to Voice.
  2. 2Under Learned tone, click Reset learned tone.
  3. 3Click Reset. Your voice rules stay as they are, and Karrow starts learning your tone again from scratch.

Can I delete a workspace that’s on a paid plan?

Not while the plan is live. Karrow refuses and asks you to cancel first, so a deleted workspace can never keep charging your card.

Cancelling keeps Pro on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and the delete stays blocked until then. Settings → Billing shows the date next to Cancels. If you need the workspace gone sooner, email hello@getkarrow.com.

Delete a workspace

Deleting a workspace removes everything in it: publications and their imported issues, posts and drafts, connected channels, saved API keys, pending invitations, and analytics. It can’t be undone.

Any member can delete a workspace, and everyone in it loses access. The Delete workspace section tells you how many other members will lose access before you confirm.

  1. 1If the workspace is on a paid plan, cancel first in Settings → Billing → Manage billing.
  2. 2Open Settings → General and scroll to the Danger zone.
  3. 3Under Delete workspace, type the workspace name to confirm, then click Delete workspace.

If that was your only workspace, you’ll be asked to name a new one before you can carry on.

Leave a shared workspace

Just want out of a workspace someone else runs? Leaving takes away your access and the others keep everything. Someone in the workspace can invite you back later.

If you’re the last member, leaving deletes the workspace and everything in it, and the same paid-plan rule applies.

  1. 1Open Settings → General and scroll to the Danger zone.
  2. 2Click Leave next to Leave workspace.
  3. 3Confirm in the prompt.

How do I delete my Karrow account?

Go to Settings → Profile, type your email into the Delete account box, click Delete account, and confirm from the email we send you. Nothing is deleted until you click the link in that email.

If the workspace you’re in is on a paid plan, the Profile page asks you to cancel your subscription first and links to Billing.

  1. 1Cancel any subscription on a workspace you’re the only member of.
  2. 2Open Settings → Profile and scroll to Delete account.
  3. 3Type your email to confirm, then click Delete account.
  4. 4Open the email titled “Confirm your Karrow account deletion” and click Confirm and delete my account. Your account and personal data are then removed.

Didn’t ask for that email? Ignore it and your account stays as it is.

What happens to shared workspaces when I delete my account?

Workspaces you share with other people stay for them, with all their publications, posts, and channels. Workspaces where you were the only member are deleted with your account.

What Karrow learned from your own edits is removed from every workspace, including the shared ones. Some records may be kept where the law or accounting rules require it, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Prefer us to do it?

Email hello@getkarrow.com from your account email and we’ll take care of it. That’s also the address for exporting or correcting your data.
